Taiwan Revokes Sakuliu Pavavaljung’s National Award for Arts Following Rape Conviction

Taiwan’s National Culture and Arts Foundation has revoked the artist’s 2018 National Award for Arts

Following a Supreme Court ruling upholding an earlier decision that found the artist Sakuliu Pavavaljung guilty of rape, Taiwan’s National Culture and Arts Foundation has revoked the artist’s 2018 National Award for Arts. He has been asked to return the NTD 1 million prize.
