India Art Fair has announced the names of over 120 galleries and institutions which will be taking part in the fair’s 18th edition in New Delhi’s NSIC Exhibition Grounds, from 4 to 7 February 2027.
Returning international exhibitors include David Zwirner, Galleria Continua and neugerriemschneider, alongside Indian galleries such as Nature Morte, Vadehra Art Gallery and Jhaveri Contemporary. New participants include the London-based Chilli and Opera Gallery as well as Kathmandu’s Siddhartha Art Gallery.
Fairgoers will be greeted by a newly commissioned installation by artist Jitish Kallat, who will realise a new iteration of his piece Here After Here After Here for the event’s facade, drawing on highway signage to examine themes of space and distance.
The programme will also include specially commissioned projects by museums and foundations from across India for the Institutions section. Among the highlights is the fair debut of Sharjah’s QissaGoi and Faizal & Shabana Foundation, showing constructed photography by Taha Ahmad.
While Delhi has recently seen thousands protesting against Narendra Modi's government, the Indian art market has grown in recent years with a strong domestic collector base, a rising generation of new buyers and heightened institutional interest.
This momentum is further bolstered by the IMF raising India's GDP growth projection to 7 percent for 2026–27 in October, making it the fastest-growing major economy.
