Gagosian has exited its locations in London’s Burlington Arcade and Basel, The Art Newspaper has reported. It is the latest in a series of mega-galleries downsizing, which has included Pace’s layoff of staff and artists earlier this year, as well as David Zwirner’s departure from its Manhattan townhouse location.

Both Gagosian’s Burlington Arcade and Basel exhibition spaces began as pop-up locations before transitioning into year-round programs. At Burlington Arcade, the ground floor hosted an extension of the Gagosian Shop, selling books, editions and artist merchandise.
Gagosian will continue operating its two other London spaces, at 20 Grosvenor Hill and 17-19 Davies Street in Mayfair.
