Bogota Biennial Announces Curatorial Team for its Second Edition

The second biennial will explore the ecosystems of the Colombian capital city, and will take place in September 2027

The second edition of the Bogota Biennial, which will take place in September 2027, will be led by a curatorial team including the biennial’s director Juan Ricardo Rincón Gaviria and chief curators Magalí Arriola and José Esparza Chong Cuy. They will be supported by curators María Paula Bastidas, Juliana Steiner and Elkin Rubiano. 

The 2027 biennial will explore the ecosystems of the Colombian capital city. It will also award 51 grants, totalling $300,000, to local artists, cultural practices and institutions.
