Wulf Herzogenrath, a curator who championed video and new media art, as well as acting as the director of Kunsthalle Bremen for seventeen years, has died.

His platforming of video art manifested through organising the first European solo show for Nam June Paik at the Kölnischer Kunstverein in 1976, establishing a video section at Documenta 6 the following year, and curating Ex Machina? Frühe Computergrafik at Kunsthalle Bremen in 1979, before returning to the gallery as director in 1994. He retained this position until his retirement in 2011.
