Misan Harriman Steps Down as Southbank Centre Chair
Hariman’s decision follows a period of scrutiny and criticism over his social media activity

Misan Harriman, the photographer, entrepreneur and social activist, has announced via social media that he will not seek another term as the chair of the Southbank Centre, a position he has held since 2021.
Hariman’s decision follows a period of scrutiny and criticism over his social media activity, with some claims of antisemitic behaviour. However the Southbank Centre has confirmed that he made the decision to depart in January, and he released the following statement: “It’s semi-public knowledge that my term is coming to an end anyway … I had decided way before this madness that I was going to do two terms.”
