Norway’s triennial Bergen Assembly has appointed Lucia Pietroiusti and Filipa Ramos as ‘convenors’ for its 2028 edition, according to ArtForum.
The Bergen Assembly describes itself as an ‘exploratory platform for art’ structured around ‘convenings’ rather than a single curatorial concept and biennial format. Its ‘convenors’ organise the event in partnership with artists, researchers, activists and other cultural practitioners.
Pietroiusti and Ramos have previously worked together on a long-term interdisciplinary festival and research project titled ‘The Shape of a Circle in the Mind of a Fish’. For the Bergen Assembly, they will transpose parts of their research to a public programme executed in close collaboration with the city of Bergen.
